This is aha.

Where recovery meets community.

Hi, we’re aha; a not-for-profit organisation steadfast in our commitment to offering recovery-focused services in mental health across the Great Southern region. All our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of adults struggling with mental health as we support them in their individual recovery journey.

A closer look.

For 40 years, we’ve passionately championed mental health support services. Our story is woven from countless journeys toward recovery, and fueled by the determination to create a nurturing environment where healing is possible.

You might not recognise us, but…

Before our rebrand in 2023, we were known as the Albany Halfway House Association. Now, we’ve got a new look and feel — we’re called aha — but we offer the same life-changing mental health services. We still have the same incredible staff, and we’re still ready to help clients wherever they are in their mental health experience.

The aha difference.

We’re not just another service provider; aha is a community where empathy meets expertise. Our team of skilled and trained staff specialise in psychosocial support, guiding participants with a nurturing hand as they work towards their recovery goals.

We prioritise flexibility and individualisation in our service delivery, emphasising supports attuned to the recovery goals of each client. This commitment ensures a person-centred approach, where every person is met with understanding and support that caters to their specific needs.

Our vision.

Our vision is a community where every individual receives the support they need on their recovery journey, promoting a future where mental health does not define one's path but becomes a stepping stone to a healthier, happier life.

We want to create and facilitate an environment where discussions about mental health are a part of the everyday. No stigmas, no awkwardness. Just open, honest, essential conversations that normalise mental health wellness and support.

Reach out.

The first step is the hardest, and you’ll most likely never “feel ready” to take that first step and reach out for help.

We are here, and we’ve got enough readiness for the both of us. Together, we can help you enjoy a nurtured and supported life.
